Our Story
The bride and groom-to-be first met on New Year’s Eve as 2000
was fast approaching. Nish and some of his friends, many of whom
you’ll meet, were throwing a party, and a mutual friend of
ours invited Kristen along for the festivities since her plans to
go back East for New Year’s had fallen through. Kristen and
Nish became instant friends that night, but didn’t start dating
until eight months later. On their first date, which they both didn’t
know was a date at the time, they saw the film The
Tao of Steve . While neither one can explain how, they both
just knew, and the feeling was completely wonderful.
Nish finally popped the question three years later on August 23,
2003 (what took you so long, Nish?) at a place called Safari
West. They both love wild animals – monkeys, tigers, elephants,
and especially rhinos-
and as some of you know they’re going on safari in Tanzania
and Kenya for their honeymoon, so Nish really picked the perfect
spot to propose. Well, needless to say, Kristen said “YES!”
and the rest is history. |
